Our rooms
Simple, well kept and made for travelling light. Every room has fast Wi-Fi, good thermal and acoustic insulation and PerDormire mattresses for a proper rest. Singles, doubles and quads — many with a private bathroom — for every way of experiencing Rome: on your own, as a couple, with friends or as a family. Each room is decorated with prints and artwork by local artists.

Tomato Urban Retreat is a sustainable urban retreat in the heart of Rome, run by Social Supply, a third-sector social cooperative. With 46 rooms and generous shared spaces opening onto an inner garden, it offers a genuine alternative to conventional hospitality. A short walk from Termini station, it is the ideal base for living Rome — not only visiting it.

Frequently asked questions
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 14:00 to 24:00, check-out by 11:00. Once you have checked in, your own code lets you in 24 hours a day.
When is reception open?
Every day from 8:00 to 24:00.
Is there a city tourist tax?
No. Tomato Roma is a youth hostel, so the city tourist tax does not apply.
Is breakfast included?
No, it is paid separately and the price depends on what you have.
Is there a kitchen? And a laundry?
The shared kitchen is open 24 hours a day, and so is the laundry. The €10 token (washer plus dryer) is collected at reception between 8:00 and 20:00.
Are the dorms mixed? Is the bathroom private?
Shared dorms are mixed. A private bathroom is available in some single and double rooms.
Can I bring my pet?
No, pets are not allowed.
Are children welcome?
Yes, at any age, including in shared dorm beds. They stay free until their third birthday; from age 4 they count as adults.
Do you take groups?
Yes, from 10 people upwards, with a minimum stay of 3 nights.
Is the coworking space open to everyone?
For now it is reserved for guests staying at the property.
