How to get to Tomato Turin

Via Silvio Pellico 11, San Salvario — an eight-minute walk from Porta Nuova station.

From Turin Caselle airport

By train. The station is right in front of Arrivals: the SFM lines reach Porta Susa in 32 minutes, ticket €3.70. Careful, these trains do not stop at Porta Nuova. From Porta Susa take the metro to Marconi and you are with us in a quarter of an hour.

By bus. Arriva links the airport to Porta Nuova (piazza Carlo Felice) in 45-50 minutes, every 15-30 minutes: €7.50 online or from the machines, €8.50 on board. From Porta Nuova it is a ten-minute walk. There is also Flibco, 30 minutes, from €3.99 if you book online.

By taxi. There is no flat fare: the airport indicates around €40 and half an hour of driving.

From Porta Nuova station

It is an eight-minute walk, about 600 metres, all flat. Come out on the via Nizza side, cross corso Vittorio Emanuele II and you are in San Salvario: go down via Nizza and turn left into via Silvio Pellico. We are at number 11, between via Saluzzo and via Madama Cristina.

From Porta Susa station

Metro line 1 towards Bengasi, get off at Marconi: four stops, six minutes. From there another six minutes on foot. The city ticket costs €1.90 on the TO Move app and lasts 100 minutes, metro included.

From Milan Malpensa

There is a direct bus: Arriva takes about two hours and arrives at the corso Bolzano coach station, next to Porta Susa — €22, fifteen departures a day, booking required. Alternatively Flibco, 2 hours 5 minutes, from €18 online.

By train you need two legs: the Malpensa Express to Milan (€15) and then a high-speed train to Torino Porta Nuova, from €8.90. Fast-train prices change from day to day.

By car

Good news: via Silvio Pellico is outside the ZTL. San Salvario lies south of corso Vittorio Emanuele II, which is the boundary of the limited traffic zone, so you can drive here at any hour without a permit.

Parking in the area is blue-line: €1.70 an hour, Monday to Saturday from 8am to 7.30pm. You pay at the meter (you need the number plate) or with the GTT SostAPP app. On Sundays it is free.

Getting around the city

The GTT City 100 ticket costs €1.90 on the TO Move app and lasts 100 minutes, with one metro ride included. On vehicles with the yellow sticker you can also just tap a contactless card.

If you are staying a few days: day pass €3.70, 48 hours €7.80, 72 hours €10.30. You can buy them on the app, at the metro machines, in tobacconists and at newsstands.

If something does not add up

Prices and times are updated to September 2026: before you travel it is always worth a look at gtt.to.it and aeroportoditorino.it. And if you get lost, call us: there is always someone at reception.
